Coach Dobbs graduated Hendersonville High School in 1989. There he played varsity football and was named All-District and All-Mid-State his Senior year in football.
He attended MTSU for his undergraduate degree and Tennessee Tech to get his master’s degree.
Coach Dobbs has been coaching for 27 years and has been a part of 7 state championships. He began coaching at Central Middle School in Murfreesboro in 1995. He then moved on to Trousdale County High in 1997. There the team won 5 championships. In 2010, Coach Dobbs went to Riverdale High School and then to Moore County in 2016 as the Head Coach. He then went to Oakland High School in 2020 where they won 2 state titles. This is Coach Dobbs' first year at Lincoln County where he will serve as the Athletic Director and assistant football coach.
His hobbies include racing, hunting, and fishing. He has been married to his wife, Misty, for 22 years and together they have two sons. Bryson (20) is a Sophomore at Tennessee Tech and Brett (16) is a Sophomore at LCHS.
